A day in the life of a fireman--from a wife's POV

My husband is my hero. Truly. He was IC (in charge) on the scene of this accident, which included safely landing two Samaritan helicopters--he was also medic for one of the six pt's. Yes, I did say six. And since he's a volunteer, that's all after a day's work.
Meanwhile, back at the scene...we have multiple breaks and fractures, and one victim who's actually helping with the others who are worse off than he. Five people crammed in a tiny little Tracer wagon (I'm sure my brother-in-law can relate to that!), and a heavy duty crew cab lands on top of you! Talk about your bad luck--and your guardian angels!
Such has become routine in our daily lives--the captain and his flame.
